MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said that there were no Filipinos either among the fatalities or those seriously injured in the tour-bus accident that occurred on in upstate New York on Aug. 22, 2025 (local time).

The confirmation followed inquiries made by The Manila Times and the public amid reports that many of the passengers were of Asian descent, including individuals from China, India, and the Philippines.
"At present, there are no reports of Filipino nationals among the deceased or seriously injured," a DFA official said on Saturday.
